Drop Of Grace

Artwork Meaning:

The centre circle represents God and his grace and how it ripples out into the community through his people.

Ephesians 2:8-10 “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

The blue background is a body of water the colour/water is contained to represent a certain community or even Australia as a nation where God’s people are making a difference. The yellow represents the land/sand which holds the water in place and also represents the reach of God’s love to the whole world.

 The boomerangs each have 3 suns which represents the trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), it is through the power of the Trinity that we are able to make a difference in the communities we serve. Galatians 5:22-23 “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!”

 The boomerang can be used as a weapon and represents God’s people being bold and courageous as they take the love of God into their families, places of work and communities they serve. Hebrews 4:12 “the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword”

The two boomerangs clapped together were traditionally used in celebrations and this represents the Good News of Christ going out and the celebration that happens when the lost are found. Luke 15:7 “In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!”

The original Artwork was painted by Bradley Dodd and took 33 hours to paint.
