Rays of Light (Sting Rays) - Print

This artwork took approximately 9 hours to paint and is a collaboration with my wife Katie. When I was working on designing the commissioned piece 'Keep me where the light is' there were several practice attempts to get the water looking realistic. Both Katie and I attempted to paint water and the background of this artwork was Katie's crack at it.
I then came in and dotted over the background and the stingrays to give it the Back of the Brush touch.

As a result this artwork captures the joy of traveling through life with the person you love and helping each other to stay within the light. For Katie and I "the light" is Jesus who shines even in the darkest moments.
